From my sketchbook to yours

The Sketch Society

A little creative inspiration, delivered to your letterbox every month.

Sometimes all it takes to get sketching is a little nudge in the right direction.

The Sketch Society is a monthly postal subscription filled with ideas, inspiration and a personal touch from my sketchbook to yours.

No endless scrolling, no complicated projects. Just a little envelope of encouragement to help you make time for drawing.

A little something to look forward to

There’s something lovely about finding a little creative surprise among the usual post. Something you can hold, keep and return to whenever you need a fresh idea.

Each month, I’ll send you a gentle invitation to open your sketchbook. A subject to explore when you’re wondering what to draw, and a little encouragement to make drawing part of your week.

You can build your own collection of prompt cards, sketchbook inspiration and little extras as you go. Take them to a café, tuck one into your sketchbook or leave it on your desk for a quiet moment.

There’s no rush to finish. Just something to enjoy looking forward to.

A different theme every month

What’s inside your envelope?

Four little things to inspire a few moments of creativity.

Your monthly sketching prompt

A beautifully printed, collectable prompt card with a new subject to explore, practical starting tips and inspiration from art history.

A little piece of my sketchbook

A printed reproduction of a page from my own sketchbook, chosen to complement the month’s theme. A glimpse into the creative process of a working artist.

A little extra

A little treat — it could be a sticker, a piece of my favourite sketching paper or something completely different!

A note from me

A personal letter from my studio, sharing thoughts, inspiration and a little of what I’ve been creating.

It’s not about creating masterpieces

You don’t need expensive materials, hours of spare time or years of experience.

The Sketch Society is about finding a few moments to draw, noticing the little things around you and enjoying the process.

Some sketches might take five minutes. Others might turn into something more. There’s no right or wrong way to take part.

Edition 001

Meet your first prompt — Acorns

“Great things come from small beginnings.”

Our first prompt explores the humble acorn. It’s a little reminder that small creative habits can grow into something wonderful.

We’ll take time to notice its shape and texture, then see where a few marks on the page might lead. You can begin with a simple study and follow your curiosity from there.

A personal note from Su

I’ve always believed that sketching is one of the best ways to learn to really look at the world around us.

I created The Sketch Society because I wanted to share a little of that enjoyment in a way that doesn’t involve another screen or another online course.

Just a small envelope, a fresh idea and the encouragement to pick up your pencil.

I hope you’ll join me!

Su
